Mission
The CFOS Foundation is a charitable, non-profit organization that provides time, talent, and treasure to children in need within the communities CFO Selections serves.
Vision
The foundation is committed to providing resources to improve the lives of children in the state. It supports organizations that directly affect the well-being and improvement of children's physical, mental, and emotional needs in their homes, schools, and neighborhoods.
Core Values
Stewardship - The CFOS Foundation is committed to balancing the needs and opportunities of today with the needs and opportunities of tomorrow. It also wishes to ensure that the foundation's work continues as a resource for children in Washington as long as possible. Therefore, the foundation is committed to prudent and responsible use of charitable assets for grants as well as care of the foundation's reputation and standing in the community.
Integrity - The Foundation endeavors to be open and honest with its members, grantees, and community. It will encourage the highest possible standards of conduct and ethics.
Excellence - The Foundation strives for excellence in everything it does so that its name will be equated with quality and trustworthiness.
Inclusiveness and Equal Opportunity - The Foundation is committed to inclusiveness and equal opportunity within the organization as well as among its applicants and grants. Expanding equal opportunity for disadvantaged children in need is a critical element of this value.
Service Delivery Area - The Foundation values grants and programs that will directly benefit children and young people in need within Washington state.
Effectiveness - The Foundation Advisory Board will identify unique and strategic opportunities that allow the organization to make a clearly measurable difference in the lives of children. The organization will evaluate its effectiveness and change strategies, as necessary, to achieve better outcomes. Proven and validated models of effective outcomes are preferred. The foundation will take a long-term view and make long-term commitments, as required, for maximum effectiveness.
Respect - The human worth of all individuals and children who are affected by the Foundation is our highest commitment.
