Former Safeco Executive joins CFO Selections Consultancy

BELLEVUE, WA –   Charles F. Horne, Jr, former Senior Vice President and Controller at Safeco Corporation has joined the CFO Selections team in Bellevue, WA as a Senior Associate.

Mr. Horne's professional career spans over 25 years in finance, accounting, operations and audit. His breadth of experience includes assignments at publicly traded companies, closely held entities, and international settings.   Chuck excels in strategic financial analyses, building strong teams, developing practical tools and effectively utilizing information systems. His deep background in financial management, audit, international business, accounting operations, and internal control, has helped several well known companies to both meet challenging external reporting requirements and improve insights to internal operations. He has held ownership and management positions, demonstrating a keen ability to provide effective executive leadership as well as CFO insights to support profitable growth for firms.

Chuck was Senior Vice President and Controller for Safeco Corporation and a member of the senior leadership team recruited to lead the successful turnaround of this $6B Fortune 500 company. He previously served as a Finance Director and Divisional Controller for Dell Computer Corporation, and Director of Finance-Audit for Silicon Graphics worldwide during periods when SGI experienced 40% growth and had revenues of $3.7B. He was also the Corporate Controller of Abekas Video Systems, Inc., and held various international finance & accounting roles at Raychem Corporation. He started his career and was a CPA with Coopers & Lybrand in New York and San Francisco.

Mr. Horne earned a Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of California, Davis and a MBA from New York University's Graduate School of Business. He serves as an Advisory Board member of N2uitive Corporation and volunteers for youth organizations.
