CFO Selections Continues Growth in 2009

Bellevue WA -- CFO Selections announced today the addition of two new members to the rapidly expanding consultancy and executive search firm.  Joining the team are Andrea Lester, CPA, and Joe Schick, CPA.  "We are fortunate to have such high caliber professionals joining our firm," said Tom Varga, Managing Partner. Joe Schick is an accomplished executive whose career includes 25 years in accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, financial systems, internal audit, SEC reporting, and M&A at high-growth mid- to large-sized companies.  Most recently, Joe was  CFO of Vertafore, a 1,000 employee B2B software vendor based in Bothell, WA. Prior to working at Vertafore, he was the Senior Vice President of Finance at Expedia, Inc., where he was involved in building Expedia's Finance Department from the ground up following its spin off from Microsoft in 1999. Over the next seven years, Joe led the accounting, tax, treasury, internal audit, financial systems, and financial planning and analysis teams as Expedia grew to over $2 billion in revenues. Before joining Expedia, Joe was the Controller for Humongous Entertainment, a division of Atari, Inc. and held various finance positions with Westin/Starwood Hotels and Resorts. He began his career with Hewitt Associates, Inc. and Arthur Andersen LLP.

Andrea Lester joins CFO Selections with 20 years of broad experience as an accounting professional in startups and growth stage companies in the high-tech, service, and wireless industries.  She began her career as an auditor with Arthur Andersen, and spent four years at McCaw Cellular as a senior accountant. She started her own consulting practice, providing businesses with general accounting services, system conversion and setup, financial statement preparation and review, and business tax preparation. At InfoMove, she worked with a team to establish the accounting department and was responsible for daily accounting activities, stock ownership records, and audit and tax work with the company’s outside accounting firm. At Clearwire Corporation, she was responsible for the successful conversion of multiple accounting functions to Oracle Financials; she also managed the company’s accounting staff and was responsible for treasury management.
