Mountain climb "to make a measurable difference"
Bellevue, WA – CFO Selections will sponsor a Mt. Rainier climb to raise money for the CFOS Foundation, an organization that provides time, talent and treasure to needy Washington children.
On June 19, a team of six climbers will attempt a Mt. Rainier summit ascent via the Emmons Glacier to raise money to fund the grant-making actvities of the CFOS Foundation. The goal of the team is to raise $50,000 that will be matched dollar for dollar in a challenge grant from CFO Selections.
The team will be lead by Tom Varga and Ken Krass, both experienced mountain climbers. Additional team members are Bob Schmidt, Tom McDowell, Rick Shedd, and Leo Falkenshammer.
"To support the climb team's fundraising efforts to make a direct donation, people can visit our website at www.cfoselections.com/cfos-foundation and select "Donate Now," said Tom Varga, CFOS Foundation co-founder. "Alternatively, donors can send their contribution to the CFOS Foundation. This is a great way to support the climb and children who need our help. We strongly believe that companies have an obligation to re-invest in the community, so we're passionately doing what we can."
