Each employee is asked to take part in a survey.   It is an opportunity for the employee to express opinions about the range of topics covered in the survey.  The company then receives a report card that details how they have scored on various topics. Participants use the results as a way to listen to employee needs and identify positive opportunities for the future. 

This will be the 17th year Washington CEO Magazine has recognized workplace excellence in its annual "Best Companies" issue and at the celebration dinner held in late June.
