Alex de Soto
Alex de Soto, SPHR, joins CFO Selections after being the Vice President Finance & Administration for AcousTx Corporation, an ultrasound company that was performing contract research for the United States Army during his employment with the company. After spending 8 years with Coopers & Lybrand in their Seattle and London offices, Alex has spent the last 14 years as a member of or advisor to numerous executive management teams in the Puget Sound area.He has been a CFO of a small publicly traded biotech company, the Financial Planning Manager and Compensaton Manager for Premera Blue Cross, and the primary leader of finance and recruiting activities for two ultrasound start-up companies. He has also been a consultant to members of the executive management teams of Casey Family Programs, Pacific Edge Software, Rivals.com, and Housing Resources Group.
Since 1999 he has lead the recruiting function for Pacific Edge Software, Therus Corporation and AcousTx Corporation where he has personally filled over 100 positions for these Puget Sound based technology companies. As a recruiter for CFO Selections, Alex combines his skills as a recruiter with his hands on knowledge of the skills and experience needed for CFO's and Controllers to be successful as a member of a company's executive management team. Alex has a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Southern California. He has held the Senior Professional in Humand Resources (SPHR) designation since 2002. He and his wife Lynn Schilaty, have three children, Emma, Ethan and Eli.
Jackie Knox
Jackie Knox joins CFO Selections after a long and successful career as an HR professional. Most recently, Jackie was the Senior Human Resources Manager for ArrowDisc in Kent Washington from 2001 to 2006, where as a member of the management team she was responsible for all aspects of Human Resources and Employee relations. While at ArrowDisc, Jackie developed the recruiting and hiring program which resulted in lower turnover, better production, and higher employee morale ultimately adding to the bottom line.Prior to ArrowDisc, Jackie held HR positions for DMC Stratex Networks and Eagle Systems, both in Seattle. Among her accomplishment were:
- The first female Location manager for a Union location for Eagle Systems
- Successfully negotiated union contracts with the Local 174 Teamsters
- Managed a positive P&L, making changes to many changes operations because of declining margins due to constant changes in the transportation industry
- Developed a successful recruiting and hiring program for DMC Stratex
She enjoys golfing, traveling and gardening. She likes to spend time with her husband and son boating, playing games, and watching movies. In her spare time Jackie enjoys volunteering at her son's school, for a Children's charity and anywhere else that she can.[Top of Page]
