Alex de Soto

Alex de Soto anchors the CFO Selections search practice.   He brings over 25 years of experience in accounting, finance, human resources, and executive search to the table. In his most recent assignments, Alex served as the interim Finance Director for the Washington State Hospital Association and as the interim CFO for Compass Health.   Alex's deep hands-on experience as a former CFO, HR executive, and recruiter provides a unique combination of skills enabling successful placements at the highest levels.

Alex's successful retained senior finance searches include McLendon Hardware, Tully's Coffee, Romac Industries, CMC Biologics, Nintendo, the Port of Bellingham, and CRISTA Ministries.    Prior to joining CFO Selections for the first time in 2007, he had personally filled over 100 positions for Pacific Edge Software and two start up ultrasound companies.  He began his career with eight years as a CPA with Coopers & Lybrand in their Seattle and London offices, and served for 19 years as a member of or advisor to numerous executive management teams in the Puget Sound area.    He has been a CFO of a small publicly traded biotech company, the Financial Planning Manager and Compensation Manager for Premera Blue Cross, and a member of management of two ultrasound start-up companies.  He has also been a consultant to members of the executive management teams of Coaptus Medical Corporation, Casey Family Programs, Rivals.com, and Housing Resources Group.  

Alex has a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from the University of Southern California and held a SPHR designation from 2001 to 2010.  Alex lives in Snohomish with his wife and three children. He enjoys salmon fishing with one son, learning about old cars from another son, and watching his daughter play basketball.  He has served his community as co-chair of a strategic planning committee for the city of Snohomish and as a member of the Board of the Snohomish Education Foundation.

Jackie Knox

Jackie Knox joins CFO Selections after a long and successful career as an HR professional. Most recently, Jackie was the Senior Human Resources Manager for ArrowDisc in Kent Washington from 2001 to 2006, where as a member of the management team she was responsible for all aspects of Human Resources and Employee relations.  While at ArrowDisc, Jackie developed the recruiting and hiring program which resulted in lower turnover, better production, and higher employee morale -- ultimately adding to the bottom line.

Prior to ArrowDisc, Jackie held HR positions for DMC Stratex Networks and Eagle Systems, both in Seattle.   Among her accomplishment were:

• Successfully negotiated union contracts with the Local 174 Teamsters
• Was the first female Location Manager for a Union location for Eagle Systems
• Managed a positive P&L, making changes to many operations because of declining margins due to constant changes in the transportation industry
• Developed a successful recruiting and hiring program for DMC Stratex

Jackie graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts and Sciences degree.  She is an active member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) where she was the Membership Chair for the South King County Chapter for three years.

Jackie enjoys golfing, traveling, and gardening. She likes to spend time with her husband and son boating, playing games, and watching movies.  In her spare time she enjoys volunteering at her son's school, for a children's charity, and anywhere else that she can.
