The ChallengeOur client was seeking a new CFO after the tragic loss of their current CFO. This posed a number of both strategic and logistical issues. Time to completion was very important but not at the sacrifice of quality.
The Solution
At the recommendation of their venture capital firm, CFO Selections was selected to conduct this search based on our reputation and tenure in this space. After setting our clients expectations and planning on a time line of 120 days to completion, our team methodically contacted our network of CFO's. Within a very short period of time we identified who we thought was the perfect candidate and quickly contacted the client to decide on next steps. Within a week of the initial meeting between the client and candidate, a hire was made. Our approach of taking the time to understand our client's business situation, their culture and their personal need to hire the right fit was the key to success.

The ChallengeFor the past several months a client of ours tried a wide range of options to fill their Corporate Controller position. After using their own personal networks, job boards, newspaper ads and contingency firms, they were unable to locate the caliber of candidate they desired to fit their in to the organization both technically and culturally. Upon being referred to CFO Selections by their CPA firm, we were hired to manage the search. The challenge for us was navigating through all the candidates whom already knew about the position and digging beyond those to refresh and expand the pool of potential candidates, and with the clock ticking, get the position filled as quickly as possible.
The Solution
Our search team quickly put a call list together of qualified candidates from our extensive network and built a call list of target companies to recruit from. Within a couple of weeks we were able to provide our client with four qualified candidates, all of whom possessed industry experience and one of which was a known commodity to some on the management team. Within a month of our hire the search was complete.

The selected candidate has hit the ground running and is already impressing the management team. The client has subsequently spoken to CFO Selections about two other potential searches.
