All Star Directories, based in Seattle, WA, began operations in 2001 when they launched AllNursingSchools.com. The mission was to help students find the right schools and schools find the right students. One successful site led to another, and today the Company is managing a dozen vertically-oriented websites that help more than 725 career schools, post-secondary institutions, and agencies market more than 5,300 programs to millions of students nationwide.
The company continues to operate with a strong cash position and is building on its ten-year history of revenue and profit growth. Since the 2005 arrival of Doug Brown, CEO, the company has increased its revenue by more than fivefold. With three acquisitions completed, they continue to look for opportunities to grow both organically and through additional strategic acquisitions. The Company employs more than 100 people in the Seattle area and maintains a very collaborative culture. POSITION SUMMARY
The CFO is a key member of the executive management team and reports to the CEO. Organizational responsibilities include managing the Finance and Accounting Department. The CFO has primary responsibility for financial planning, financial and operational reporting, and continuous improvement of the Company's information and operational systems. The CFO makes presentations to and interacts directly with the Board of Directors, investors, investment bankers, and other business partners.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION
- National-scale public accounting experience and a CPA required.
- MBA, or a Bachelor's Degree with relevant professional experience, is preferred.
- 15+ years of related experience.
- Understanding of marketing processes and tools, and knowledge of Internet commerce or the advertising business.
- A collaborative approach toward planning and problem solving.
- Experience scaling a company from roughly $25 million to $200 million in revenue.
- Experience raising capital, including managing all due diligence and contract review activities.
- Experience negotiating and integrating acquisitions on the buy or sell side.
