Steven Barrett
Steve Barrett is a senior executive with over 20 years of accounting and finance experience with an emphasis on real estate investment and management. He has a proven ability to work collaboratively with CEO’s, executive team members, and other key stake holders while demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities. He is committed to building strong relationships and believes in the benefits of creating a culture of continuous improvement.
Prior to joining CFO Selections, Steve held senior financial positions with a variety of companies in the real estate investment and property management industries. At multiple firms, he has been responsible for financial strategy, financial reporting, cash management, internal controls, ERP conversions, and investor relations. As a CFO, he has led numerous revenue enhancement strategies, cost saving programs, and risk mitigation initiatives. Steve most recently served as the CFO for American Property Management, which operates multi-family properties in Washington, Oregon, California, and Arizona. He oversaw accounting, audit, cash management, financial reporting and budgeting for over $2.5B in real estate assets.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Phoenix. When not working, he and his wife enjoy skiing, hiking, and boating on Lake Washington.
