Tim brings over 30 years of financial management experience in a wide variety of industries including aerospace and high-tech manufacturing, sports media, transportation, higher education, and nonprofits. He is passionate about business process re-engineering, process improvement, and navigating transitions, resulting in sustainable efficiencies and cost savings. In addition to core accounting and FP&A competencies, he is knowledgeable in managing other support functions such as IT, Human Resources, Administration and Facilities/Operations. He has led multiple external audit engagements as well as annual IRS 990 submissions. He has also assisted in the preparation and audit of the annual 403(b) IRS 5500 for several nonprofits.
In his prior role at World Vision USA, Tim redesigned a Corporate Cost Allocation Excel model to reduce cycle time preparation by 30 days per year and identified a cost savings opportunity that led to phone-related savings of over 38% per year. While serving as Director of Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis at Iomega Corporation, Tim reduced annual planning cycle time by 33%, improved annual planning process/systems grade by 25%, and designed and built the first companywide rolling forecast process and system to provide real time monthly financial forecasts to CEO and Executive staff, reducing quarterly labor costs by 70%. In every organization in which he has served as an executive, Tim has reduced the monthly close to 10 days or less.
Tim holds an MBA in Finance from Seattle University as well as a Post-MBA Certificate in Accounting from Seattle University. He earned his BA in Business from the University of Puget Sound with an emphasis in Financial Management.
