Debbie is a senior accounting and finance professional with over 30 years of experience in diverse industries such as insurance, real estate, services, and nonprofit. She has a background in both public and private companies in addition to public accounting experience, making her a versatile leader. She focuses on process improvement, systems integration, and key metrics to achieve organizational goals.
Debbie has led reorganizations for multiple companies, focusing on ensuring smooth transitions, establishing procedures, and mentoring staff in new roles. She built the finance and operations departments for a $30M start-up company, including coordination with multiple partners in the US and India. She also led the transition of accounting leadership at a domestic abuse nonprofit and nonprofit independent school, and acquired $15M for construction of a new school with tax exempt financing. In addition to her experience managing all accounting and finance functions, Debbie has experience overseeing IT, HR, risk management, and operations.
Debbie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Seattle University. She spent 6 years serving on the Bothell City Council, including 2 years as Mayor, and currently serves as Vice President of the Northwest Kidney Centers Foundation. She lives in Sammamish where she and her husband are restoring property using native vegetation and organic gardening.
