CFOS Foundation
The CFOS Foundation was launched in 2007 by the partners of the CFO Selections professional services firm who believed in the notion that even small companies have an obligation to "re-invest" in the communities from which they earn their living. The vision of Tom Varga, Rich Leo and Mark Tranter, the founding partners, is that a small community based foundation with a laser focus on supporting direct needs based programs for children can make a difference even if one child at a time. This dedication to the future leaders of our community is viewed as an obligation of the firm. It is for this reason that a portion of the profits earned by CFO Selections LLC are allocated directly to the Foundation for grant making.
The funding (treasure), however, is only a starting point. It is also the dream of the founders to make scarce and valuable executive time and talent available to recipient organizations. Through the network connections of its Board, partners and professional affiliations, the CFOS Foundation will support and encourage volunteerism among young and rising executives to dedicate their time and talent to our recipient organizations and thus multiply the effect of the treasure.
The CFOS Foundation is directed by an independently controlled community Board of seven advisors who are solely responsible for assessing grant applications and making grant funding decisions.
