Jim Douthitt

Jim-DouthittJim is a seasoned finance professional experienced in leading all accounting functions. His career has mostly been in financial services and high-tech industries, but also includes experience in a broad set of additional businesses and transaction-types. Throughout his career he’s been a valued business partner for success leading groups – often extending beyond his own supervision – to build consensus, overcome objections, and accomplish big goals when the way forward is unclear.

Jim has a long successful record of building high performance teams with improved controllership and improved service to the businesses they support. He assesses situations, identifies the gaps – a missing process, missing information, an organizational roadblock – and creatively finds ways to fill them that complement the culture and size of the business. He never assumes the template from a previous success applies to the problem at hand, and he’s adept at toggling between in-depth hands-on work and leading.

Jim holds a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Washington University in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Jim and his wife of 35 years are empty nesters who enjoy spending as much time as possible with their two grown sons and their growing families. He enjoys boating in the San Juan Islands of Washington State, spending time in the Cascade mountains skiing and hiking, and he and his wife are avid bicyclists.
