Tom Neary
Tom is a talented CFO and COO with decades of experience in multi-billion dollar publicly-traded entities as well as rapidly growing privately held companies. He is a skilled communicator and manager with demonstrated success in fundraising, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, partner marketing, international business development, SEC reporting, accounting, operations, tax, treasury, human resources, and IT.
Tom has broad segment experience including technology, biotechnology, intellectual property, space and aerospace, consumer goods and construction services. He spent over 13 years at Microsoft in many different roles including domestic and international operations, finance, retail distribution, and consumer marketing prior to shifting his career path to support small and medium sized companies as a full-time employee, as a contract fractional and part time consultant, and as a project manager. He is a lifelong learner who welcomes the rapid pace and ambiguities inherent in leading edge business segments.
As CFO and COO of both public and private businesses Tom has, among other accomplishments, raised over $200M from Private Equity and Venture Capital investors, negotiated and managed numerous debt facilities, executed Buy and Sell-side Mergers and Acquisitions, implemented numerous infrastructure systems implementations and migrations, managed complex supply chains, and negotiated international tax, trade and tariff complexities.
Tom is a proud graduate of the University of Washington where he earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Germanics. He also possesses a Master’s degree from Arizona State University’s Thunderbird School of Global Management (formerly American Graduate School of International Management) and passed the State of Illinois CPA exam.
A long time Washingtonian, Tom and his wife currently reside in Sammamish where he enjoys biking, hiking, and all snow sports.
