Ksana Oglesby
Ksana is a mission-driven CFO with over 20 years of experience, including over nine in the C-Suite. Beginning her career in public accounting, she gained experience in diverse industries including construction, real estate, and retail before spending over 14 years of experience exclusively in the nonprofit and healthcare sectors.
Ksana is recognized as a compassionate, hands-on, and results-oriented leader with an eye for how the details fit together to form the bigger picture of an organization. She has been responsible for financial operations, accounting and audit functions, financial reporting, cash management, budget preparations, grant management, planning and analysis, and internal controls for multiple organizations. On the operations side, she has overseen HR, IT, facilities, and front office functions, introducing, and administering initiatives to ensure compliance and enhance functionality.
A project-focused, lover of process improvement, she has developed and implemented policies and procedures that increased productivity and enhanced internal controls in finance, HR, and IT, including helping a local municipality to evaluate and select a new ERP system and taking an organization from an almost completely manual ERP system to a fully paperless one. She is constantly looking for ways to improve efficiency and help nonprofits do more with less.
She excels at creating data-driven strategies that enhance an organization’s ability to tell its story and support its mission. Throughout her career she has focused on providing financial information in a way that resonates with financial and non-financial stakeholders alike; building financial packages and presentations that provide the right information to enable the BODs and other stakeholders to make informed decisions.
Ksana is a CPA in the state of Colorado and holds an MBA from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. Always looking to enhance her knowledge and skills, she also holds a Certified Healthcare Financial Professional designation from the HFMA and a Chartered Global Management Accountant certification from the AICPA. She serves on several community, nonprofit, and professional boards. When not working, Ksana loves to read, play rec league tennis, tend her community garden plots, and hang out with her dogs.
