Tom began his career in Finance at Capital Associates International in Boulder as an intern. Capital Associates was in the technology leasing business, providing Fortune 500 companies with FMV and capital leases. This led to a full-time position in the lease syndications department where individual leases were placed into portfolios and sold to public and private investors. The public investors included large financial institutions and investment banks. Tom’s final role was Assistant Vice President – Lease Acquisitions.

Tom was offered an opportunity to help start an early-stage company – PEAK Resources, Inc. Over 30 years, PEAK grew to become one of the largest technology solution providers in the Rocky Mountain region. PEAK’s client base included many of the largest enterprises in the region including Xcel Energy, Arrow Electronics and Denver Broncos Football Club. PEAK experienced significant revenue and employee growth and was able to manage through several macro-economic crises. In January 2024, PEAK completed a strategic acquisition by ePlus Technology (traded as PLUS on the US Nasdaq). Tom was fundamental in the strategic direction that led to this exit in addition to the sales negotiation and due diligence.

Tom earned his B.S. in Finance from the University of Colorado. He’s located along the Denver Front Range.

Tom is an alumnus of the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation programs including Leadership Denver, Leadership Exchange, Colorado Experience and Access Denver. He is the Immediate Past Chair of B:CIVIC. Additionally, Tom serves on the Board of Directors of Colorado Succeeds, serves as a Board Emeritus of PEBC (Public Education Business Coalition) and is the President of the Playworks Colorado Board. Tom also served as Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Charter School Institute as appointed by Governor Hickenlooper and re-appointed by Governor Jared Polis.
