Jim is an experienced financial professional with over 30 years of experience in industries including non-profit, entertainment, investment management and professional sports. He has a detailed understanding of the role a senior financial leader needs to help organizations be successful. He has worked with organizations to develop long-range strategic plans and financial models to support the plan. Working with organizations that range from $15m to $500m in annual revenue, he has the ability to focus on the details and the big picture needs of the organization.

Starting his career in public accounting with a boutique firm that specialized in banking, regulatory and tax planning, he developed a broad understanding of how financial reporting systems help organizations accurately measure performance. Prior to joining CFO Selections, Jim worked as the senior financial leader of organizations like the Denver Museum of Natural History, the University of Colorado Foundation and the Denver Broncos Football Club. Jim has also served on numerous boards of non-profit organizations in the Denver community.

Jim graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Arts degree and passed the CPA exam in Colorado (inactive license). In his spare time, Jim enjoys hiking, riding, swimming, playing with his dog, being a dad to two adult children and travels with his lovely wife.
