POSITION SUMMARY
The CFO reports to the President and CEO who has been with the organization for 27 years and is responsible for the oversight of the Accounting team of four, including Medicaid billing, payables, GL Accounting. Technically, this person will have deep knowledge of the healthcare revenue cycle and act as the expert on revenue recognition and recording. They will also lead the rolling 24-month forecast and compliance and along with oversight of close will lead preparation and presentation of financial reporting package to the Board and other internal/external groups. Part of a nine-person executive team, the CFO will be one of a small group who are major contributors to the strategic planning process upcoming in 2023. They will manage external financial relationships and will potentially manage IT, including oversight of a 3rd party relationship, accounting system administration and future upgrades/implementations.
Intangibly, the CFO will drive the culture of the organization and department forward, acting with adaptability, as a strategic thinker and with cultural humility.
Base salary range for this position is $170 – 190k.
QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or finance.
- Experience at least at the Controller level, but preferably the Director of Finance, VP of Finance or CFO level of a small/mid-sized organization, preferably nonprofit or healthcare.
- Exposure and understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle is preferred.
- Displays an understanding of multi-business line dynamism gained from professional or personal experience.
- A strong desire to work for an organization whose mission is to support people with disabilities.
- Strong project management and strategic planning expertise coupled with a ‘hands-on’ way of working – nothing is too small for this CFO to get their hands on.
- Committed to working in a strongly equitable environment, where cultural humility and a listen-first style of communication is paramount.
