Founded in 1992, DeLille Cellars is the third oldest winery in Woodinville, Washington, and a pioneer of Bordeaux-style blends. DeLille was one of the first five wineries in Washington to receive Robert Parker’s 5-star excellence rating. DeLille has maintained a tradition of quality and excellence, with over 950 individual 90+ ratings and a long history of accolades from notable wine critics and publishers. Among the top 25 largest wineries in Washington, and with national and international distribution, DeLille Cellars has helped establish Washington as a premier viticultural region.
In 2019, DeLille expanded its operations by adding a restaurant, as well as creating a larger tasting facility in Woodinville. The company employs more than 140 people in its manufacturing, retail, wholesale, and restaurant operations.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Finance is responsible for all accounting and finance functions of Delille Cellars. The Director will be a member of the management team and report to the CEO who has been with the company for nine years. The position will manage an accounting team of three people and be a hands-on manager of the monthly closing process and accounting operations. The position will work with the CEO on developing financial forecasts for existing and potential new lines of business as well as provide regular analysis of current operations. The Director will be focused on creating a high performance, customer service-oriented work culture that provides meaningful financial and business information to the workforce and third parties.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, or business administration.
- A CPA/CMA is desired, but not required.
- Experience in managing or working in a manufacturing cost accounting system, either as a Cost Accountant or Controller, with a preference for such experience in a process manufacturing environment.
- Experience of any type of work in a retail or hospitality business is desired.
- Experience managing the monthly financial statement closing process.
- Strong financial analysis, cash flow forecasting and budget preparation experience.
- Experience working with commercial bankers and CPA firms.
- Exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit with a commitment of excellence to manage a premium brand.
