Todd Nelson
After graduating Cum Laude with a B.A. in Accounting from Western Washington University and earning his CPA (inactive), Todd G. Nelson has built a 30+ year career spanning public accounting, operating-company leadership, and multi-entity finance environments. He is recognized for delivering accurate, GAAP-compliant reporting; strengthening internal controls; improving close and reporting processes; and translating complex financial information into clear, decision-ready guidance for leaders and stakeholders.
Todd developed a strong foundation in audit, tax, and advisory work at Moss Adams LLP in Bellingham, Washington, where he led audit and tax compliance engagements across construction, manufacturing, cold storage, and real estate, and helped implement tax strategies that generated meaningful federal and state savings. He later moved into operating-company leadership as Chief Financial Officer of Terminal Freezers, Inc. in Burlington, Washington, directing accounting, compliance, treasury, tax planning, IT strategy, operating budgets, capital projects and internal controls. He implemented a warehouse management system integrated with financial reporting, improving inventory accuracy, labor productivity, and customer service, and helped prepare the company for a successful sale to Lineage Logistics.
At Lineage Logistics in Irvine, California, Todd served as Chief Financial Officer during a rapid acquisition period in which the company built out its national platform. He led a 25-person finance organization and oversaw financial reporting, consolidations, treasury, audit and tax compliance, and cash flow management. He integrated more than 15 acquisitions into the accounting environment and directed a Workday ERP implementation for Finance that streamlined reporting and improved transparency and close efficiency. His leadership supported audit-ready reporting, successful capital raises, and stronger lender relationships.
Earlier, as Co-Founder and CFO of Fresh Innovations California, LLC in Oxnard, California, he built the accounting infrastructure and internal controls from inception, developed production reporting systems and KPI dashboards, and directed the general ledger, financial reporting, audit/tax compliance, and cash management through a successful exit. Most recently, Todd has provided investor and consulting support to Majestic Life Project
Management, LLC in Dubai, establishing the accounting structure, reporting framework, and internal controls for a new venture, directing budgeting and cash flow forecasts, and advising on scalable systems selection across ERP, HRIS, POS, and related operating platforms.
Based in Kirkland, Washington, Todd enjoys professional and college sports, auto racing, biking, hiking, music, and film.
