Dave Mendez
David Mendez is a senior executive with over 30 years of experience in fast-paced privately held companies as well as large multi-billion dollar publicly traded companies. He is an effective communicator skilled in managing complex projects that require expertise in financial management and operational excellence. David has demonstrated success in developing financial strategies and executing several mergers and acquisitions. His industry experience is diverse, including high technology, automation, professional services, manufacturing, and utilities. He has held positions such as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and General Manager
David is a problem solver adept at articulating solutions. He began his career as a CPA with PricewaterhouseCoopers, focusing on high-growth technology companies in Silicon Valley. He then joined PacifiCorp, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Company, where he honed his CFO skills around budgeting and forecasting of complex business environments. As his career progressed, he worked closely with operational teams from manufacturing, services industries, and technically complex engineering groups. David has evaluated growth strategies and initiatives, as well as underperforming assets. He has developed comprehensive business plans and exit strategies. He is skilled in building strong financial teams that understand the importance of working as business partners with their operational counterparts. His roles have included Chief of Operations and most recently General Manager, where he was responsible for creating a start-up company from the ground-up, including sales, marketing, manufacturing, and engineering. As a result, he has learned the importance of including the appropriate teams to execute critical business plans.
David earned his Bachelor of science degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting, at San Jose State University. David is an avid drag racer who enjoys building and racing his cars on the dragstrip.
