Cindy Sullivan
Cindy is a mission driven leader with over 15 years of experience in executive financial leadership, strategic and capital planning, risk management, and operational efficiency for nonprofits and schools. Her proven ability to identify and drive process improvements across departments results in enhanced efficiency, strengthens compliance, and delivers superior results. A dedicated team member, collaborator, and mentor with excellent interpersonal skills, she is focused on working collectively to define and achieve shared objectives.
In her most recent role as Chief Financial Officer for Friends of Youth, Cindy developed and managed an $18M annual budget process reflecting operation of over 30 programs with support spanning more than 70 different funding contracts. Her leadership included all areas of accounting and finance as well as information technology, data system analytics, facilities, and risk management. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, she collaborated with the CEO and Chief Program Officer addressing short and long-term organizational challenges in addition to setting the strategic direction for the agency.
Cindy also served as the Vice President of Finance for Eastside Catholic School, where she oversaw reconstruction of the Finance department and the organization’s foundational financial records. This effort included hiring new team members, rebuilding the general ledger, and publishing financial statements critical to meeting the requirements of the school’s $78M bond funding.
Cindy earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara and holds a CPA-Inactive license from the state of California. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, running, and walking her dog TJ.
