About Plymouth Housing

plymouth-housing-logoPlymouth Housing is a Seattle based non-profit organization that provides affordable housing and supporting services to its residents. Plymouth follows the Housing First philosophy, which means that people cannot improve their lives until they have a safe, stable place to live. Plymouth has 17 buildings in King County, Washington, with 1,400 residents. Ninety-five percent of residents remain safely and stably housed long-term after moving into a Plymouth home.

Plymouth Housing’s mission is to eliminate homelessness and address its causes by preserving, developing and operating safe, quality, supportive housing and by providing adults experiencing homelessness with opportunities to stabilize and improve their lives.

More than a decade ago, a diverse group of long-time staff members joined together to outline the values that inform their work.

At Plymouth:

  • We create a safe and inclusive community.
  • We demonstrate trust.
  • We advocate for equity in housing.
  • We serve with empathy and compassion.
  • We help each other thrive.

At Plymouth, employment is more than just a job. Employees support the well-being of their residents—all of whom are working to transform their lives after homelessness, and most of whom live with some disability, including mental illness, chronic medical conditions, substance-use disorder, and more.
