The Business Journal’s newest award program honors innovation, inventive and inspirational companies headquartered east of Lake Washington with its Eastside Fastest-Growing Private Companies award program.
In 1995, the 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in Washington was the Business Journal’s very first award program.
That first list celebrated the year-over-year revenue growth of creative, innovative companies from Attachmate to Zedco Corp.
Throughout the years, Stockpot Soups, Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, Multiple Zones International, Cutter & Buck, General Microsystems, Clarisonic, BizXchange Xtreme Consulting Group Inc. and Talyst have all made the list.
Besides creativity and innovation, these companies all have one thing in common — at the time they debuted on the list, they all were headquartered on the Eastside.
More and more, the state-wide list is comprised of companies that hail from Eastside communities.
To that end, last year the Business Journal launched this new award program to honor the Eastside Fastest-Growing Private Companies.The response to our survey was great then, and even greater this year.
